Micromax has silently launched yet another smartphone in its Canvas series, which is named the Canvas Juice A77 . The phone is available for Rs 7,999. Samsung's Galaxy Trend too is available for the same price these days. Here is a short comparison of these two phones on the basis of their features.
Design and display
Samsung Galaxy Trend S7329 is 10.85 mm thick and weighs 126 grams. Though the exact dimensions of Micromax Canvas Juice are not available right now I expect it to be much heavier as it comes with a 5 inch display (against the 4 inch display of Galaxy Trend) and a 3000 mAh battery " double that of Galaxy Trend's 1500 mAh battery.
As I said earlier, the Galaxy Trend has a 4 inch display. Its TFT-LCD display comes with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. On the other hand, the Micromax Canvas Juice has a 5 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. This means that the Galaxy Trend's display has 233 ppi pixel density; while the Canvas Juice has 293 ppi pixel density. So the Micromax handset's display seems much better than the Galaxy Trend but there are many other factors as well and many times a higher resolution does not mean a good looking display.
Storage
Both smartphones have 4 GB ROM but Samsung's handset has a 64 GB expandable storage slot against 32 GB of Canvas Juice. However, Micromax Canvas Juice has 1 GB RAM against 512 MB RAM of Samsung Galaxy Trend.
