Huawei Ascend Mate 2 has been in the works for quite a while. In the end of August we saw the first clue on the Huawei's next phablet - pictures of device's front glass. Back then we didn't really know much about the Mate 2 aside of the display size - once again standing at 6.1-inches.

Anyway, today's leak gives us the first glimpse of the phablet plus some of its key specs. We now know the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 will feature a 6.1" IPS display, this time of 1080p resolution.
Its specs will be quite similar with the recently leaked Ascend P6S. The Mate 2 will be powered by HiSilicon's latest Kirin910 chipset with a 1.6GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, Mali-450 GPU and 2GB of RAM. This isn't much of an upgrade over the previous generation K3V2 chip, but it's something. After all the Ascend smartphones have always been affordable, so we can't expected to see a top-end platforms at that sort of price tag.
The rest of the Ascend Mate 2 specs include 16GB internal storage and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean skinned with the latest version of Emotion UI.
We guess Huawei will announce the Ascend P6S and Ascend Mate 2 soon.
Thank you, Bazan, for the tip!
