Xolo Play Tegra Note note , which has already been listed on Flipkart for pre-booking, will be launched formally by the handset manufacturer on December 16. Xolo has sent out invitations to media groups for the launch event of the tablet.
Xolo Play Tegra Note is the first tablet to arrive India with quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 mobile chipset. By default, the Play Tegra Note runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will compete with the freshly launched Google Nexus 7 tablet.
The Play Tegra Note has a 7-inch IPS LCD display with 1280x800 pixel resolution and pushes 216 pixels per inch pixel density. Powered by the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 System-on-Chip, the Tegra Note packs 1 GB RAM and 16 GB on-board storage. Thankfully there is a memory card slot to hold up to 64 GB micro SD card.
At the rear, the tablet has a 5 megapixel camera which is capable of shooting high quality images using HDR, Panorama, and other imaging options. The camera can also record 1080p HD videos as well. In its front, it has a VGA camera for video calls. Other features of the tablet include WiFi , Bluetooth , GPS with A-GPS support and bunch of usual sensors.
Xolo Play Tegra Note packs 4100 mAh battery and will also bundle along a stylus to be used with the display for taking down notes, sketching and other features.
Play Tegra Note will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean but there is no clarity on whether the tablet will carry any custom user interface or not.
