Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Grand 2 for India. The handset is to be available in January next year. Samsung has not revealed its price yet, but during a recent event in Mumbai it said the phone will cost between Rs 22,900 - Rs 24,900. This was expected and it leaves the Galaxy Grand 2 directly in the den of the popular LG made Google Nexus 4.
So here is a head on comparison of the two giants to see if the proven one triumphs over or bows down to the new.
Design and display
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 borrows its looks from the Galaxy Note 3 including leather-like stitched back panel that gives a very good grip while adding a style statement. It has a thick metal frame along the sides that gives it the necessary spark as well. Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is also quite thin (146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm) but weighs 163 grams. This is due to its 5.25 inch display. The display comes with high definition (1280 x 720 pixel) resolution.
On the other hand, the Nexus 4 measures 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1 mm and weighs 139 grams despite having a much smaller 4.7 inch screen, but with HD resolution. This means the Nexus 4's display has much higher pixel density.
Storage
The said model of Nexus 4 comes with 16 GB internal storage. It has no expandable storage slot. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 comes with 8 GB internal storage and a 64 GB micro SD card slot.
