Videocon slashes outgoing roaming call rates by 50 percent


Videocon Telecom has slashed outgoing roaming call rates by 50 per cent. Now while roaming across the country, Videocon Telecom consumers can now make local outgoing calls at 50 paisa per minute, and STD calls at 75 paisa per minute.


Videocon Telecom consumers by using a special tariff voucher of Rs 45 can now enjoy outgoing local calls while roaming across the country at 50 paisa per minute instead of the earlier Rs 1 per minute and can make STD calls at 75 paisa per minute instead of Rs 1.50 per minute, and enjoy 20 minutes of free incoming calls per day instead of 75 paisa per minute for 2 weeks.

Earlier in September this year, Videocon had made national roaming incoming calls free. Ofcourse for that one has to opt for certail packs; to read the details click here . Vodafone , BSNL , and Airtel had also announced similar schemes in the past.


Notably, roaming was to be abolished from March this year but TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) had ruled out the same. Instead it had in June this year slashed roaming tariffs.
