Samsung Galaxy Note III may be launched on September 4

Samsung is expected to launch the third generation phablet in the second half of this year. AndroidGeeks has been tipped by an insider that Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Note III at the Samsung Unpacked event on September 4 this year.

The IFA Berlin 2013 convention is scheduled to commence on September 6 and just like last year, Samsung Unpacked event is rumored to take place before it.

Samsung had launched the large screen bearing Galaxy Note II smartphone at the Samsung Unpacked event last year just before the IFA Berlin 2012. Samsung is reported of following the same strategy this year as well.

Samsung Galaxy Note III is expected to feature 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display for select markets and 5.7-inch LCD display for other markets. The two variants will be released depending on the region.

Samsung will use different processors for both of the above mentioned variants. For one of the models, Samsung will use the eight-core Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5410 mobile processer used in the Galaxy S4. For other model, Samsung will pack quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 mobile processor.

The Galaxy Note III will pack 2 GB RAM and will be offered with 16 GB and 32 GB on-board storage capacities. Of course, there will be a memory card slot and the S Pen stylus.

Samsung will also pack the 13 megapixel camera, the one used in Galaxy S4, and a full HD supporting front facing camera in Note III. As of now, there is no clarity on whether this device will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean or Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
