MTS extends CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in Rajasthan


Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the MTS brand has announced the launch of advanced CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in Bhiwadi, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur of Rajasthan.


According to MTS, the Phase II technology can achieve high speed rate as high as 4.9 Mbps in single frequency carrier and 9.8 Mbps in two frequency carrier bundle.


MTS India has also introduced MBlaze Ultra dongle that claims to provide data download speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps. Prepaid customers need to pay just Rs 1,399 to get an MBlaze Ultra Dongle and 10 GB data usage for 30 days. Postpaid customers can go for an Advance Rental Plan by paying Rs 1,999 and get the dongle for free. Additionally, the customers can enjoy 6 GB data unlimited usage per month for next 2 months.


According to Ashish Bhatia, chief operating officer, Rajasthan Circle MTS India, "In 2011, MTS became the first telecom operator in the world to launch the CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in Jaipur. Today, I feel proud to share that the advanced CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network has been launched in four more cities i.e. Bhiwadi, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur."


Ashish further added, "Targeted at the young, tech savvy generation, MBlaze Ultra provides extremely fast data speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps that will significantly enhance customer experience while accessing streaming multimedia. I am confident all our customers would enjoy the MBlaze Ultra experience".


The Company plans to take the CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network to many more cities across all nine circles where it provides telecom services and is awaiting the allotment of its third carrier (1.25 MHz ) from DoT.
