Nokia 207, Nokia 208 phones with 3G announced


Nokia has unveiled two more 3G network supporting entry-level devices - Nokia 207 and Nokia 208. Both mobile phones carry similar specifications and comes in a candy bar form factor. The only difference between the two is that the Nokia 207 is a single SIM model and comes without any camera. The Nokia 208 features a camera and will be offered in dual-SIM as well as single-SIM models. Nokia plans to ship these models in third quarter of this year.


Nokia's entry level devices are now getting 3G network love with the integrated network chip. The new Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 support the 3G networks and offer decent talk times even with the limited 1020 mAh battery in each model.


Nokia 208


The Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 have basically the same look in candy bar form factor and features multi-tap keypad with directional pad in the center. Both the devices sport a 2.4-inch LCD 18-bit display with 320x240 pixels native resolution. The multi-tap keyboard brings four way navigation key along with dedicated functions keys. These monoblock design bearing devices will not offer Wi-Fi network support.


The Nokia 207 will be single SIM model only and has no camera at the back. Whereas the Nokia 208 has a 1.3 megapixel camera at the back for clicking images.


Both devices feature 64 MB RAM and 256 MB on-board storage. There is a memory card slot to load up to 32 GB micro SD card on these devices and enjoy multimedia content.


Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 offer 500 hours of standby time on 3G network and 490 hours on 2G network. Nokia will load Nokia Life Tools on the devices and make them available. Both devices run the Series 40 platform and hopefully will support the WhatsApp app.


Nokia plans to offer both devices at Rs 4080 approximately.
