HTC One S users are in for a disappointment with this news as their phone will not get any further Android upgrades and remain on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system ever.
HTC has officially confirmed this with a press statement which reads "We can confirm that the HTC One S will not receive further Android OS updates and will remain on the current version of Android and HTC Sense. We realize this news will be met with disappointment by some, but our customers should feel confident that we have designed the HTC One S to be optimized with our amazing camera and audio experiences."
HTC had launched the One S last year and comes with 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion dual core processor, Android ICS operating system, 4.3 inch display, 8 megapixel rear camera, 0.3 megapixel front camera, 1650 mAh battery, 1 GB RAM, and 16 GB internal memory.
