Nvidia had introduced the Tegra Note tablet earlier this month (http://www.themobileindian.com/news/14193_Xolo-to-launch-Tegra-4-based-tablet-in-India-next-month). Following that there were rumors that Indian device brand Xolo which already has Nvidia Tegra device to its name will be launching the tablet for the Indian market. Now Gizmodo (http://www.gizmodo.in/news/Nvidia-Tegra-Note-Launch-Xolo-Play-India-October/articleshow/22939711.cms), quoting sources, claimed that the tablet will be rebranded as Xolo Play Tegra Note and will be launched in India next month for Rs 16,999.
The Xolo Play Tegra Note features a 7-inch touchscreen display with 1280x800 pixel resolution. This display is capable of supporting the Nvidia DirectStylus technology for improved passive stylus performance. Nvidia has also packed two different tips for this stylus - Chisel and brush tips for helping users go creative and artistic with the device.
Xolo Play Tegra Note is powered by the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 system-on-chip comprising of four Cortex-A15 cores and 72 graphic cores of GeForce GPU. Nvidia has also integrated the PureAudio technology to deliver rich, deep audio output through the front-facing stereo speakers on the Xolo Play Tegra Note.
There is a 5 megapixel camera at the back of the tablet while a VGA camera is in its front. The Xolo Play Tegra Note also features a micro-HDMI connector for connectivity to the big screen TV for video and gaming.
