Sony's Xperia Z1 smartphone, which was recently launched (http://www.themobileindian.com/new-launches/2913_Sony-Xperia-Z1-launched-in-India-for-Rs-44900) in India, received not-so-amazing response as information pertaining to the device were leaked long before its release unlike the Apple iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s . Apple had guarded well these two devices from the prying eyes of media and got rave response when they were unveiled. Now Sony is plugging all the holes in its policies and is making employees aware of the same as well.
As reported by Digi-Wo , Sony has now issued a "no more leakage” policy. Under this no employees of Sony or its partners are not to disclose any information pertaining to upcoming devices to anyone outside the company. This includes pictures and information related to the devices.
Along with that Sony has also sent out several guidelines as well for its employees. It includes that employees should use phones with protective cover. No employee is allowed to show phones to individuals outside of Sony Mobile or to upload any pictures to social networks, public webpages etc.
Also to further protect the devices form getting leaked Sony has also sent out guidelines that include non-usage of third party benchmarking application which majorly become the source for the leak of device information before launch.
