Micromax has recently launched its first tablet under its popular Canvas series. The Micromax Canvas Tab P650 comes with an 8 Inch display and 3G connectivity along with calling facility. The tablet is priced at Rs 16,500 and aims at competing with products from brands like Samsung and Asus.
Here is our hands-on experience of the Micromax Canvas tab.
Design
The 8 inch display based Canvas Tab P650 is Micromax's attempt of breaking in to premium device segment but with a pocket friendly price tag. The tablet comes in two colour option featuring a body made up of polycarbonate and metal. The device has a sleek look and is lightweight as well. The surface of the device has been kept as all glass that adds a touch of class as well as makes it durable and scratch resistant.
Both the black and white colour variants of the tablet come with dual tone colour finish. The white one comes with a metallic silver back while the black version has grayish black colour tone at the back. Needless to say both colour options look good.
The Micromax Canvas Tab P650 carries a slightly more squarish design with all the ports placed on top of the device right alongside the power key. The topside placement of the power key is slightly odd and makes the device uncomfortable to use. On the right hand side there are the volume rocker keys.
