Top 5 WiFi supporting phones under Rs 7,000


Everyone wishes to enjoy the internet on the move and in a more personalized manner. Budget smartphones offer decent hardware to enjoy the mobile web, and they also offer real estate. Thanks to the competition, we now have enough devices to choose from even with a limited budget of Rs 7,000.

Gionee P2


Gionee recently announced the new P2 smartphone as the successor of the Gionee P1. The Gionee P2 features dual SIM configuration and also offers dual standby mode so that one does not have to switch off the phone. Gionee has used a 4 inch display with decent 480 x 800 pixel resolution.


This smartphone is powered by a dual core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6572 SoC with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB on board storage. Of course, there is a memory card slot to support up to a 32 GB micro SD card. At the rear is a 5 megapixel camera and there is a VGA camera in the front. Gionee has offered 3G network support in one of the SIM slots and also offers WiFi connectivity for a faster mobile web experience. The Gionee P2 packs a 1700 mAh battery and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update.
