HTC, whose Desire 600C is set to be launched in India, has unveiled two new smartphones in its Desire series, namely Desire 601 and the Desire 300. Both the handsets come with Android Jelly Bean operating system with HTC Sense and HTC Blinkfeed user interface.
The HTC Desire 601 has borrowed several features of the HTC One including HTC Blinkfeed, HTC Zoe with video highlights and HTC Boomsound. The HTC desire 601 comes with a 4.5 inch display with a qHD resolution (960 by 540 pixels). The smartphone is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of internal memory. There is a 32 GB micro SD card slot as well.
The HTC Desire 601 has a 5 megapixel real camera with a ¼ inch image sensor that has also been given backlighting capability for better low light photography. The camera features a F2.0 aperture and 28mm lens offering better photography capabilities. In its front, there is a VGA resolution camera for video calling as well. The Desire 601 has a front-facing Boomsound speaker that would deliver richer, sharper tones.
The HTC Desire 300 is an entry level smartphone and comes with the HTC Blinkfeed user interface, 4.3 inch display with WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resolution, 1 GHz Qulacomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, 512 MB RAM, and 4 GB of onboard storage which can be expanded to up to 32 GB. The HTC Desire 300 has a 5 megapixel main camera with auto focus, F/2.8 aperture and 34 mm lens and a VGA front facing camera.
