HP may have discontinued its TouchPad tablet but hackers found it interesting enough to hack and make Android run on it. The developers at the RootzWiki posted managed to bump the TouchPad with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. However, there are number of components that do not function entirely on the tablet.
These developers gave the TouchPad a new life by porting Android on it. Now the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version has been updated through the CyanogenMod custom ROM - a third party modification. Since this is an experimental development, some components are still non-functional.
The HP's TouchPad is still being sold by some of the retailers across the globe and mostly online. For instance, the website iBhejo is offering this famous tablet for Rs. 17,730 and eBay has some listings for around same price.
