Flickr app for iOS gets Live Filters

Flickr, the photo sharing service, has pushed a significant new update for its official app meant for the Apple iOS platform. The new Flickr app for iOS gets live filters, camera tools, and editing tools. Flickr seems to be taking a jab at Instagram with these new features. Now we wait for it to add short video upload and editing.

Flickr so far had a barebones and elegant mobile app for Apple iOS and Google Android devices. The new Flickr update brings support for Live Filters-that means you can see the effects even before you click the image. This helps choosing the right one quickly instead of shuffling between filters later. The app also allows customizing the filters to create custom ones.

Flickr app gets the pinch to zoom option for images and grids. The app allows locking of the focus and exposure points. The Flickr app also gets some great editing tools such as Enhance, Crop, Sharpen, Colour Adjustment, Levels and others.

All filters, tools and camera options have animated transitions to provide the best image processing experience. Download the new Flickr app for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad from the Apple App store .
