HTC Butterfly S unveiled with 1.9 GHz processor


HTC has unveiled its latest power horse - the HTC Butterfly S Android smartphone, during an even hosted in Taiwan . The HTC Butterfly S, which is the upgraded version of the HTC Butterfly, comes with even powerful hardware and the famous Ultrapixel camera while maintaining the design characteristics of the HTC Butterfly.


HTC Butterfly S features a 5-inch full 1080p HD display, built using the Corning Gorilla Glass for resistance from scratches and strength. Taking a cue from HTC One, HTC has fitted a front facing stereo speakers powered with Beats Audio in Butterfly S.

This Butterfly S has a quad-core 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 mobile processor with Adreno graphics chip and 2 GB RAM. By default, there is 11 GB user available storage space and one can always add a micro SD card in the memory card slot. HTC has packed a non-removable 3200 mAh battery to make it run longer with Android Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0 user interface on top of it.


Most important change comes in the camera section with the upgraded 4 megapixel camera with UltraPixel camera technology. The device has the HTC Zoe feature and considering the HTC Sense 5.0, the Blinkfeed is likely to be brought to the device as well. Along with that there's a 2.1-megapixel wide-angle shooter on the front as well.


Internationally, it is priced around Rs 45,000 and will be launched in Taiwan next month. There is no word on international availability as of now but the device is likely to cross the Rs 50,000 price mark for sure when it would make its debut in India.
