Samsung Galaxy NX camera with interchangeable lens, Android 4.2 announced


Samsung has unveiled Galaxy NX Camera with interchangeable lens and features 3G /4G LTE cellular network connectivity. The Samsung NX Camera packs a quad-core mobile processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Samsung NX Camera is yet to get a price tag and availability date.


Samsung touts to be the first one to offer a digital camera with interchangeable lens. The new Galaxy NX Camera has a 20.3 megapixel APS-C Sensor that helps produce images brighter and detailed images even in the low light conditions. It packs the DRIMe IV Image Signal processor to provide enough speed and accuracy for capturing fast action images.

The Galaxy NX Camera has 1/6000 second shutter speed and 8.6 frames per second shooting to capture the action driving images in detail. The Galaxy NX camera also shoots RAW images of about 20 MB. It features a 4.8-inch HD TFT LCD display at the back and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on it. Samsung has added several camera centric features such as Photo Suggest, Story Album, Camera Studio and more than 30 Smart Modes.

Galaxy NX Camera also allows users to shoot images and movies in 3D with Samsung's 45 mm 2D/3D lens. Most interesting bit is that the Galaxy NX Camera will feature 3G and 4G LTE network. Apart from Android Jelly Bean, the camera also comes with Samsung exclusive apps as well as services.

The camera's interface is powered by 1.6 GHz quad-core mobile processor and 2 GB RAM. The camera has 16 GB on-board storage and one can always add up to 64 GB micro SD card to the memory card slot. For longer shooting experience, Samsung has packed a 4360 mAh battery and thus the entire camera weighs about 495 grams heavy.


Meant for enthusiastic shutterbugs with need to connect wirelessly for publishing images online or social networks, the Galaxy NX camera also supports other features such as Bluetooth 4.0 LE, dual-band WiFi , GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.
