Celkon reduces price of Signature HD A119, A225

Celkon, a Hyderabad based Indian handset brand, has announced the re-launch of Celkon Signature HD A119 Android phablet at a reduced price of Rs 8,999.

The phone has a 5 inch HD (1280x720) display, 1 GHz dual core processor, 1 GB RAM, a 12 megapixel rear camera and is powered by 2100 mAh battery.

Other features of the phone include a 3 megapixel front camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and 4 GB internal memory. The dual SIM phone offers 3G , WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options.

Celkon has also repositioned it Celkon A225 in a lower price bracket by reducing the price of the phone from Rs 9,499 to Rs 8,199.

Celkon A225 offers a 4.7 inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, 1 GHz dual core processor and 8 megapixel rear camera. The phone is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and runs on a 2100 mAh battery. Besides, the phone comes with 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS . At the reduced price A225 now competes with some of the 2G only phablets from Spice and other player with very narrow price difference.
