BlackBerry Q5 anticipated in the coming months

BlackBerry is all set to sell yet another BlackBerry 10 OS based smartphone dubbed BlackBerry Q5. This smartphone will be sold in black, white and red colours, targeting the chic and youth segment. The BlackBerry Q5 packs a 3.1 inch full touchscreen display and four row Qwerty keyboard.

BlackBerry is set to make this smartphone available for UAE from tomorrow and in the UK from July 1 onwards. We were informed that the BlackBerry Q5 can be expected in India in the coming few months.

BlackBerry Q5 anticipated in the coming months

The price of the new BlackBerry Q10 may have dropped many jaws but the company continues to focus on consumers seeking high-level productivity from smartphones. Refreshing the BlackBerry Bold 9900 keyboard, a new mid-range smartphone is being brewed for launch in Asian countries including India.

The BlackBerry Q5 will feature the same display size as the Q10- a 3.1 inch display with 720 x 720 pixel native resolution. Though it pushes the same 328 pixel per inch pixel density, the Q5 packs an IPS LCD panel compared to the Super Amoled panel used in the Q10. BlackBerry has housed a dual core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processor with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB on board storage.

At the rear lies a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash that is capable of recording full 1080p HD video. Also, there is a 2 megapixel camera in the front capable of 720p HD video. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS . This smartphone will have a non-removable 2180 mAh battery. Since the BlackBerry Q10 arrives with the BlackBerry 10.1 OS, it is safe to anticipate the same from the BlackBerry Q5.

BlackBerry India is planning to launch the BlackBerry Q5 in the coming months. We anticipate the launch sometime in late July or early August. The BlackBerry Q5 will be sold for AED 1499 in the UAE, which amounts to Rs 23,990 in Indian currency. We can easily anticipate the price of BlackBerry Q5 to be around Rs 25,990 or higher for India.
