Asus has unveiled a 7 inch high definition display bearing tablet called MeMO Pad 7. The MeMO Pad HD 7 was unveiled alongside a 10 inch version of the tablet, called MeMo Pad 10 , during the ongoing Computex event in Taipei.
The MeMo Pad HD 7 is an upgraded version of the existing MeMo Pad and thus comes with better features like a high definition 720p display, Android Jelly Bean operating system and a quad core processor.
The new MeMo Pad HD 7 offers 800 x 1280 pixel resolution bearing 7 inch display that supports up to 10 points of capacitive touch interface. The display also utilises IPS technology that promises better contrast and vibrancy. It runs on a quad core processor but Asus has not revealed whether it is of Qualcomm or Mediatek.
To support the processor, the tablet has been fitted with 1 GB RAM. The tablet will be launched in 8 GB and 16 GB internal memory variants. There is a 5 megapixel auto focus camera at the rear and 1.2-megapixel camera on the front of the tablet. The Asus MeMO Pad HD 7, like the bigger MeMo Pad 10, has WiFi , Bluetooth and GPS connectivity but misses out on the cellular connectivity.
The Asus MeMo Pad HD 7 will be made available in different colours but Asus has not revealed its price or availability details yet.
