Asus FonePad Note announced

Asus has formally announced a new phablet, dubbed as the FonePad Note, at the on-going Computex 2013 convention in Taiwan. This new Asus FonePad Note features a 6-inch display and Intel Atom processor. So far, Asus has not announced the pricing or expected availability of this phablet.

Asus has joined the phablet makers league with the new FonePad Note device. Its 6-inch IPS+ display has 1920x1080 pixel resolution natively. This display is good enough to play full HD video content and enjoy image editing.

This phablet is powered by a dual-core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 'Clover Trai l' mobile processor and 2 GB RAM. This native hardware is good enough to run the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update smoothly. This phablet will also support 3G networks and offer download speeds of up to 42 Mbps.

Asus FonePad Note has an 8 megapixel rear camera which can click high quality images and record full HD videos. What's really odd is the absence of LED Flash from the rear. The FonePad Note will also come with a stylus pen that can be used for sketching or taking down notes quickly.

We expect Asus to share the detailed specifications, estimated arrival date and price of this phablet soon.
