Nokia showcases audio recording quality on the Lumia 928

After comparing the video recording quality of the Lumia 928's camera with the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III, Nokia has now released a new video that compares the quality of the audio during the recording.

Nokia promises best-in-class, distortion-free audio recording quality on the Lumia 928 and to demonstrate that they recorded a video of a band playing in the New York City subway. This time, Nokia is only making comparisons with the Galaxy S III and not the iPhone 5.

From the video, it's clear that the Lumia 928 is significantly better. There is less distortion in sound, the instruments are more distinct and the sound is more natural overall with a decent amount of bass. The Galaxy S III output sounds loud, brash and unnatural in comparison. There are no two-ways about it; the Lumia 928 is the clear winner in this test.

It's curious though why Nokia left out the iPhone 5 in this test. Also, why Nokia insists on comparing its upcoming phone with last year's Galaxy S III when the Galaxy S4 is already out in the market. I guess we will have to wait till we get our hands on the phone and do some comparisons ourselves to see if the Lumia 928 manages to retain its lead.
