Second generation Nexus 7 tablet to cost higher than predecessor


Google and Asus basked to the glory of the affordable Nexus 7 tablet globally. Now the second-generation tablet is expected to be announced sometime next month. DigiTimes reported that the second generation Nexus 7 will be priced bit higher in order to avoid competition against the entry level tablets.


Google-ASUS team was reported of working the Nexus 7 successor tablet. The Mobile India had reported reported that the second generation Nexus 7 tablet with Qualcomm Snapdragon series mobile processor is expected to launch in the month of July.

Bearing thinner bezel and higher resolution clad display, the second generation Nexus 7 tablet will be priced aggressively but higher than the first generation Nexus 7. Google-ASUS plan to compete closely with the Apple and Amazon's offerings.


The Nexus 7 tablet is likely to arrive with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean MR2 update or at least the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
