HTC is rumored of working on a successor device of the Butterfly to binge on the recent popularity of the HTC One. Taiwanese website ePrice claimed that the HTC is planning to release the Butterfly S with beefed up hardware as early as next month. While most of the specifications remains same, the change would be in the camera department and the processor, the report claimed.
HTC Butterfly features a 5-inch full 1080p HD display, built using the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology for resistance from scratches and strength. This smartphone packs a quad-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 mobile processor with Adreno 320 graphics chip and 2 GB RAM. By default, there is 11 GB user available storage space and one can always add a micro SD card in the memory card slot. HTC has packed a non-removable 2020 mAh battery to make it run longer with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Now this amazing specifications bearing device will be fitted with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 mobile processor to give it some extra processing muscle. Most important change will come in the camera section - upgraded 4 megapixel camera with UltraPixel camera technology. Now if we consider the new HTC Sense 5.0 User Interface implementation then it is fair to expect the BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe as well in the Butterfly S.
HTC Butterfly S is rumored to first launch in the China region and then likely to be launched for rest of the world.
