LG G Watch specs leak ahead of release

Back in March, we got word that LG was making a smartwatch that should be the first to run Google's newly announced Android Wear platform in Q2 release.

While it obviously missed that target, it is now reported that the wearable will be the reference design for the upcoming wearable platform for Google. We are also hearing it could even be given away to attendees of Google I/O conference later this month.

More importantly though, the rumors are accompanied by an alleged specs leak of the LG G3 by way of Twitter, which confirm what we were already heard about the device: 1.65-inch display of 280 x 280 pixel resolution, 4GB of internal storage, and 512MB of RAM.

Also revealed are the exact dimensions of the device, which comes in at 37.9 x 46.5 x 9.95 mm - slightly wider but significantly shorter than Samsung's Gear 2 smartwatch. And at 61g, it's lighter, too.

Be sure to check back with us on June 25 for Google's I/O conference coverage from San Francisco, where another wearable, the Motorola Moto 360, is expected to make an appearance.
