Following some great camera samples taken with the upcoming OnePlus One 13MP camera, photographer Martin Mal has published a comparison pitting the phone against the Oppo Find 5 and a Nikon 3100 DSLR.
The photographer set up to compare the trio in a number of challenges including bright and soft light, close up macro, low and extreme low light as well as landscape and depth of field. He says that all cameras were shooting in auto mode with flash turned off. No tripods and HDR modes are used.
Now, onto the photos. While the Find 5 may not be the best contender for the OnePlus One considering the Find 7 is soon to be released, it doesn't take away from the comprehensive comparison. We're especially intrigued how the OnePlus One does against a full-fledged DSLR like the Nikon D3100 and its 12.1MP sensor with 18/55mm lens.

As you can see, the OnePlus One's samples are a bit oversaturated, but there's plenty of detail and the amount of noise in the photos is minimal.
And to top it all off, Martin Mal has also shot a 1-minute 4K video with the OnePlus One's 13MP f/2.0 camera. You can check out the video samples below, but we suggest you open it in fullscreen mode and choose 2160p (4K) quality.
The OnePlus One smartphone is having its official announcement on April 23. The phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a 2.5GHz quad-core CPU and 3GB of RAM as well as a 5.5" full HD JDI display (resulting in a pixel density of 401ppi).
The phone's StyleSwap back covers have leaked recently giving us an even better idea of what the phone would look like.
