Samsung has launched the new A7 in the Indian market. Unlike the A3 and the A5, which were announced with a formal launch event, the A7 was quietly made available without much fanfair.
At least one retailer so far has claimed to have received the device, with an official price tag of Rs. 30,500 ($491). It is technically the A7 Duos model, which comes with two SIM card slot, just like the A3 and A5.
The A7 is the current flagship in Samsung's new A series and has a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 64-bit octa-core chipset with 4x 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 cores + 4x 1.0GHz Cortex-A53 cores, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB memory with microSD card slot (shared with SIM 2 slot), 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera, 2,600mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat.
