Google Nexus 5 Vs HTC Desire 600C

Google has just announced its next generation Nexus 5 smartphone. The 16 GB version of the phone is priced at Rs 28,999. Though the handset is yet to be available in India, we have taken this opportunity to compare the Nexus 5 (16 GB) with another high profile handset - the HTC Desire 600C, which too is available for around the same price.

Design & Display:

The Google Nexus 5 has a 5 inch display while the Desire 600C has a 4.5 inch display. Obviously, the Nexus 5 is much bigger than the Desire 600C. The Google Nexus 5 is 8.59 mm thick, 137.84 mm tall, and 69.17 mm wider. In comparison, the HTC Desire 600C is 9.26 mm thick, 134.8 mm tall, and 67 mm wider.

Curiously, despite the differences in their dimension, the Nexus 5 measures 130 grams as the HTC Desire 600C (even Nexus 5 has a much bigger battery than the HTC smartphone).

Coming back to the display, the 4.5 inch Super LCD 2 display has qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution. On the other hand, the 5 inch display of Nexus 5 has full HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution. Further, the Nexus 5's display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection from scratches.
