The Russian Federal Communication Agency, ROSCOM, (the Russian equivalent of the FCC), has approved a dual-SIM variant of the HTC One M8 in the country.
The VP of HTC Russia, Andrey Kormiltsev, hinted back in April that the device might be coming out, but said that HTC wasn't sure as to whether or not they would release the phone. Well it looks like they may have made their decision and the phone is a go.
The phone popped up on a report and is listed as having dual-SIM capabilities, but there is one piece of information that is a bit strange: the device's battery is listed as being a 2,600mAh removable unit. The HTC One M8's battery is not removable, and that goes for all currently available versions of the phone. This, however, could be a translation error.
No official date for the release of this possible dual-SIM version of the HTC One M8 has been set, however, if it has made the rounds through ROSCOM, then expect it to arrive sooner than later.
