LG to launch Google Nexus 4 today in India


LG will officially launch the latest flagship smartphone from Google, Google Nexus 4, in India today.


Sources have said to The Mobile Indian, "LG Google Nexus 4 will be available in market (physical stores) from today, post its official launch in India. The announcement for which is expected anytime."


Interestingly, an ecommerce site had yesterday stared taking pre-orders for Google Nexus 4 for Rs 25,990 and had estimated release date as last week of May.

LG Google Nexus 4 features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus panel display and houses a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro mobile processor which is paired with the Adreno 320 graphics chip.

The version of Nexus 4 that will be launched in India will have a 16GB of internal storage along 2GB RAM. It will run on Android 4.2 update.


The Nexus 4 display has been constructed using the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology for strength and resistance from scratches. The display panel has been constructed using Zerogap Touch technology and is slightly curved.


On the camera front, Nexus 4 gets an 8 megapixel camera that is capable of recording full HD 1080p video. In the front lies a 1.3 megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video as well.


Google Nexus 4 will also feature Android Beam which works on Near Field Communication technology and helps in sharing images, videos, contacts, apps and other content with a gentle tap over another NFC enabled device.


The Google Nexus 4 was first announced in October 2012 and went on sale on November 13, 2012 in select international market.
